Derek Wachter is a horror, thriller, and science fiction author based in Yakima, Washington, with ten published books spanning psychological horror, cryptid fiction, and historical western crime. Multiple titles have earned 5-star reviews from Reader's Favorite, and his novel "The Dark Side of the Moon" was a finalist for best sci-fi story of 2024. He is an active convention speaker across the Pacific Northwest.
